With a degree in geographic information systems and work experience as a data scientist and software developer from Olds College Akshay is a perfect fit for building the future of Dark Horse Ag Ventures. Akshay took his passion and expertise to the next level in his past role at Olds College where he developed and maintained software systems and algorithms that increased the utilization of diverse agricultural data sources. Through the Hyper layer project, he contributed to designing and managing a platform that was part of a global smart farm initiative requiring constant collaboration and integration of multidisciplinary teams. In his role with Dark Horse Akshay looks forward to driving innovation with the latest advancements in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and agricultural technologies.
